Well, it’s a new week and I’m excited to show you some more polymer clay ideas. When you are just starting out, a good place to start is with making polymer clay jewelry. You can make so many beautiful things very easily with just a few inexpensive tools.
Let’s Go Shopping in the Baking Aisle!
Some of the best tools for making polymer clay jewelry are in the baking aisle. There you can find molds, cookie cutters and more! Silicone molds are available in many designs. They are used for fondant to decorate cakes, but lend themselves well to polymer clay. Silicone molds are a soft rubber and some of them you can even bake with the clay in them! Though I like to pop them out of the mold to make sure the form was completely filled in. There are hundreds of designs to choose from. These are just a couple molds available.

Cookies cutters are for making shapes. You usually want to look for smaller cutters. They come in plastic and metal. You can even make your own. There are also clay cutters on the clay aisle of your craft store. Here are a few examples.
I suggest your first set of cutters be circles in different sizes. Here is nice set by polyform. You can make all kinds of polymer clay jewelry with just these cutters!
